You’ve had a dream or a goal of
achieving something great, and along the way, you find yourself in a position
where it has become impossible to achieve. What you decide to do is what most
people do, QUIT. But ask yourself one question: What is so special about the
others that have achieved greatness in their lives? There are four “F”s that
can answer that question and we shall discuss them briefly:
1. FAITH: This is
the first virtue that differentiates between a successful and non successful
person. Having faith in yourself gives you the nerve to pursue your goal no
matter how impossible it seems. It gives you the courage to knock what seem
like obstacles head on and later you realize that they were no more than
threatening illusions of failure. There’s a saying that “Faith can move a
mountain” and yes. It can. You’re asking yourself “How?” If you have a mountain
in your land that you want to be removed, Faith will make you get the nerve to
put up a poster “IRON ORE AND OTHER MINERALS FREE HERE” Soon, people will
spread the word out to mining companies and even if there’s nothing there, at
least the cement and gravel extracting companies will offer a deal that will
take it away. If you don’t have faith in yourself, it is better that you don’t
ever have dreams of achieving greatness.
2. FEAR: Aha! This
is the point where after having the faith that you can achieve greatness, you
ask “What if” questions: What if things don’t turn out the way I want them to?
If it’s a business you want to invest in, you ask, What if it’s a scum? What if
the company that I want to invest with collapses in the next few weeks? What if
the value international currencies rise over my local currency? There are many
what ifs that people ask themselves and they end up giving up even before they
start pursuing their goals but my advice to you is that, you have to take away
that negative attitude that clogs fear into your heart and START NOW to do
whatever you can to achieve the impossible, well knowing that you’ll be a
victor.
3. FIGHT TO THE LAST BREATH: You’ve taken the initiative to start on the road that will
lead you to greatness, but what you have to know is that it won’t be flat for
you. There will be huddles. By huddles I mean everything that hampers your
progress. You’ll have control over some of them where as you will have limited
or no control at all for others. Examples include; the strict laws, the taxes, the
people that wouldn’t want to see you get there, your competitors and many
others. You’ll see them or figure them out, because once you start taking your
road to greatness they will have to fight you whether you like it or not. FIGHT
BACK AND DON’T GIVE UP, eventually what seemed to be impossible will become
possible.
4. FAILURE: Failure
takes many people out of the race to greatness. They always give up when they
fail once or twice, making them think that there goals are impossible to
achieve. Well, they are impossible if they quit but if they tried again, and
failed and tried and failed, eventually they learn their mistakes and
eventually find a way of getting there. There’s a saying that “Sometimes it takes
a thousand tries to win” So if the number of times you’ve failed and tried
again hasn’t exceeded a thousand, your goal is still possible to achieve.
The wealthiest men in the
world, the best athletes in the world, the most renowned philosophers and everyone
that achieved greatness, shared the above virtues in common and you my friend are
no exception. If you ever consider anything to be impossible, put the above
into action, the next thing you’ll know is that THE IMPOSSIBLE WILL HAVE BECOME
POSSIBBLE.
